To mark the end of the summer season Shaikly surprised their players by organising a parents versus kids netball match. The girls had no idea their parents had been secretly invited to come along and play against them in the usual training session. Watching the facial expressions when they realised what was happening was hilarious!
The evening marked the end of a great summer season and was very well supported by all the parents. A complete mums and dads team was put together with adults playing positions that paired up as opposition to their daughters, across all age groups. Despite being just for fun there was fierce competition and the girls had their netball skills very much put to the test. There was a huge amount of enthusiasm and encouragement all round, and even some celebratory dance moves to the horror and embarrassment of some of the Shaikly members. Everyone enjoyed it so much, the were requests to make it a tradition every year, which everyone agreed was a fantastic idea!
