As a player:
Squads and teams are organised by year group and training is once a week on a Wednesday night at Philip Morant School & College. Colchester Youth League games are played on a Thursday at the Gilberd School.
All members must be registered on an annual basis with England Netball. Their terms and conditions can be found here. It is also a requirement that you are able to follow the Shaikly Netball Club Code of Conduct and that you have read the Shaikly Information Document.
If you are aged between 8 and 16 and would like to play netball, Shaikly Netball Club is open for new members, however availability can vary depending on numbers in each year group. Contact with the club to express your interest is the first step, you will then be contacted by the appropriate team coach.
As a volunteer:
Shaikly Netball Club is organised and run entirely by volunteers. All our coaches and assistants are enthusiastic parents and/or netballers who are passionate about the sport and sharing that passion with others. We rely on the generosity and good will of these people to keep the club running, support and guide our members and cheer on the teams week in and week out, in all weathers!
For the right person, there are plenty of opportunities to gain coaching and/or umpiring qualifications in exchange for your time, commitment and enthusiasm. Contact with the club to express your interest is the first step. You will then be contacted by a representative of the club.
