Our First Ever End Of Season Fun Day!

More than 100 players, families, coaches and supporters joined us for a sun-filled day of celebration, fun, friendship and netball. We started the day by sharing our new plans for the club and introducing the next chapter in Shaikly’s development. As our club continues to grow, we remain committed to providing affordable, inclusive and enjoyable netball, with opportunities for every player to develop, compete and feel part of our community.

This year we decided to introduce club awards for the first time to celebrate more than our ususal Players' Player and Coach's Player. These awards gave us the opportunity to celebrate characteristics and attributes of our teams and players such as positivity, effort, resilience and commitment.

The fun then moved outside for our bigger and better, end of season tradition of parents-versus-kids matches! We had a brilliant turn out from our parents who brought plenty of laughter and serious competition, mainly from the dads, who realised that footwork, contact and offside can all be called at the same time!

Away from the court throughout the day, in between inflatables and rounders, we presented the end of season Players' Player and Coach's player for each team and celebrated their season's achievements. Throughout the day everyone enjoyed the beautiful sunshine, all the activities and a delicious selection of treats from the ice cream, hot dog and pizza vans.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and not forgetting a BIG thank you to the amazing volunteers who made the day possible. It was a huge team effort from all the Shaikly coaches to provide such a fun day for all our members and their families, while creating a fantastic celebration of everything that makes Shaikly special—and we cannot wait to see what the new season brings!
